OTR Bulk Propane Transport Driver Local truck driving jobs

REQUIREMENTS:

Hold a valid Class A CDL with endorsements for Tanker “N” and Hazardous Materials “H” or “X” combination endorsement
3 years of CDL Hazmat driving experience
3 years bulk propane or gas transport experience
At least 25 years of age
Lift 75 lbs comfortably
Demonstrate a safe driving history, with no major violations on MVR or PSP in the last 5 years
Pass DOT drug test
Approvable Driving Records
Must be able to drive nights
Proficient in writing and speaking English
Able to work outside for long periods of time

JOB DUTIES:

Transport propane to local customers in a safe, professional manner
Attach terminal hoses to the truck connections to pump propane into the tanker.
Drive the tanker truck to pick up propane at the refinery and deliver to Butch’s Propane facilities; approximately 45 minutes is required to load or unload the truck.
Use permanent hoses attached to the filling ports or the hoses stored in the truck to unload the tanker.
Deliver according to instructions
Complete required paperwork accurately in a timely manner
Follow company policies, safety procedures, and all DOT regulations
Evaluate vehicles pre and post trips, and report any mechanical and/or safety issues
Document throughout the day, including work and rest periods
Operate machinery, including operating pumps, connect and disconnect hoses, and valves for loading and unloading
May climb tankers to check compartments at the top of the bulk tanks.
Perform all other duties as assigned
