JOB TITLE: Class A Driver
SUPERVISOR: Department Supervisors
POSITION SUMMARY:
Our Drivers serve as the face of our company while transporting inventory to and from our accounts in the safest and most efficient manner while following DOT and traffic regulations. This position courteously communicates and collaborates directly with suppliers, customers, and coworkers to organize and ensure our inventory gets received or delivered properly.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILTIES:
– Deliver/Pick Up/Load/Unload inventory while operating company vehicles safely;
– Ensure that routes are the safest and most efficient;
– Handle any company documentation accurately and thoroughly;
– Understand how to operate equipment at all times;
– Maintain company equipment in clean and good working order;
– Immediately report any mechanical problems to appropriate personnel;
– Follow DOT, State, & Federal regulations at all times;
– Work independently with little supervision;
– Understands and follows company safety rules and wears all proper PPE;
– Professionally represent company at all times;
– Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
– Possess & Maintain a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License & Medical Certificate;
– 36 months of verifiable Tractor Trailer, Dump Trailer, &/or Roll-Off Experience;
– Up-to-date knowledge of DOT regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, vehicle inspection and maintenance;
– Basic understanding of OSHA safety standards for general industry.
– Excellent time management skills written/verbal communication skills;
– Willingness to learn and be versatile;
– Ability to adhere to Company policies and rules and to promote safety standards;
– Ability to lift up to 60 pounds unassisted;
– Ability to stoop/bend/kneel/crouch/balance/climb and stand or be seated for extended periods.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
– High School Diploma or G.E.D.
– Security Clearances

Pay: $22.00 – $24.00 per hour
