Responsibilities:
– Safely operate a commercial truck to transport goods to various locations
– Follow assigned routes and schedules for timely deliveries
– Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks
– Loading, unloading, and installing appliances (i.e refrigerators, washer, dryers, etc)
– Ensure all necessary paperwork, such as delivery logs and invoices, are completed accurately and submitted on time
– Provide excellent customer service by maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor during interactions with customers
– Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
– Perform routine inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance issues or concerns
– Maintain cleanliness and organization of the truck
Qualifications:
– Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
-Valid Class A, B, or C passenger license
-Willing to take on leadership roles and opportunities
– Proficient in installing home appliances
– Proficiency and experience in operating a 26,000lb or more box truck with air brakes
– Proven experience as a truck driver or in a similar role
– Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles
– Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and traffic laws
– Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
– Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks related to loading and unloading cargo
– Familiarity with refrigerated trailers is a plus
