Ensures the timely and safe delivery of merchandise to stores. Drivers may also be responsible for backhauls or picking up merchandise from manufacturers.
Education and Experience:
Should be at least 22 years old, (meeting DOT requirement of 21 plus 1 or more years of experience).
Must have a minimum of 1 years of applicable driving experience.
Must be able to speak and read English (DOT requirement).
Must possess a valid, applicable commercial drivers license.
Must be able to pass the DOT physical.
Must be able to provide a detailed application for employment with information by which management can judge the driving experience and safety record of the driver.
Must pass the road test.
Must provide a list of all moving violations for which the driver has been charged/convicted of.
Drivers record is free from DOT disqualifying offenses as notes in the Federal Motor Carrier regulations 391.15.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule contingent upon the needs of the DC and the Stores.
Communication & Teamwork Skills:
Interpersonal communication skills including routine exchange of information via face-to-face contact. Skills in completing drivers log book.
Frequent coordination, communication, and/or team problem solving within the department for work production or service quality.
