We are looking to add to our growing fleet diligent OTR Owner Operators (1099) with a CDL and at least 1 – 2 years experience driving trucks. Owner Operators are expected to have their own truck and trailer (optional).We are a seasoned carrier looking for partners to join our Owner Operator program.
Responsibilities
Safely transport freights between various locations and over long distances
Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
Perform truck inspections before and after each trip to ensure all is in good working order.
Input macros into our automated system for each stage of the loading and unloading process
Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
Collect and verify delivery instructions
Report defects, accidents or violations
Notify dispatcher and customer of any delay that may affect on time delivery.
Requirements
Class A drivers license
No violations. Clean MVR
Minimum 1 year of verifiable CDL- A Experience
No DUI’s
Proven work experience as a truck driver
Hands-on experience with electronic equipment.
Ability to drive a full DOT clock
Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
No recent moving or driving violations
Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
Excellent problem solving skills, Ability to comprehend easily, Effective communication skills
